SALT LAKE CITY, UT — November 26, 2024 — The Utah Federation of College Republicans, are proud to announce their full support for President-elect Donald J. Trump’s cabinet nominations as he prepares to lead the nation for a second term. As passionate advocates for conservative values and policies, we believe these nominations reflect the president's commitment to securing the future of the United States and enhancing the strength of our great nation.

In light of this, we are urging Utah’s two United States Senators, Mike Lee and John Curtis, to support these nominations and stand with the President-elect in his efforts to ensure the success of his incoming administration. College Republicans have consistently supported President Trump, and we firmly believe that his selected cabinet nominees will uphold the principles that resonate with conservative students and Utahns alike.

Recently, a CBS/YouGov poll revealed that 65% of Gen-Z voters approve of President Trump’s presidential transition. The enthusiastic support among younger voters underscores a growing confidence in Trump’s leadership as he prepares for his second term. Given the influence of Gen-Z in shaping the political landscape, College Republicans are thrilled and applaud our generation for firmly standing with President-elect Donald Trump and his inbound administration.

“Our support for President Trump’s cabinet picks is rooted in the values of hard work, strong national security, economic growth, and most importantly upholding the Constitution,” said Riley Beesley, President of the College Republicans at the University of Utah. “We encourage Senators Lee and Curtis to join us in backing these vital appointments as we move forward to finish the work desperately needed from the first Trump administration.”

With a focus on maintaining strong national defense, economic prosperity, and conservative judicial appointments, we believe President Trump’s cabinet will reflect these priorities and bring stability to his second term. As students who are passionate about preserving the American Dream, we stand united in urging our Senators and the public to support these essential nominations.

Utah Federation of College Republicans continues to demonstrate leadership in advocating for policies that reflect the values and needs of Utah’s young conservative demographic. We look forward to making our voices heard to ensure that President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet is   confirmed and ready to serve the great American public in a timely manner.
